"Unprofessional Conduct and Other Trouble Spots for Psychotherapists"

Course description:  What are the circumstances by which the BBS has the power to revoke or suspend a license or associate registration?  In this workshop, Dave Jensen, JD will review the four component parts of making sound, professional judgements.  He will also address the areas of law that allow the BBS to revoke or suspend a license or associate registration.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify the four component parts of making sound, professional, judgments.
  • Identify at least ten things that constitute unprofessional conduct under the BBS's laws and regulations.
  • Apply the BBS's rules regarding advertising to your website.

David is a most entertaining speaker in this lecture–format course that will satisfy the BBS’ on–going requirement of six (6) CEUs in law and ethics.

CEU’S: 6 CEU’S available for LMFT's, LCSW's, & LPCC's

Lunch:  A gourmet buffet lunch and beverages are included in the cost of the workshop.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Due to the logistics of this SWRC-CAMFT Event, any request for cancellation must be received no less than ten (10) days prior to this SWRC-CAMFT Event. Additionally, a request for cancellation is subject to a $25.00 administration fee. No cancellations for this SWRC-CAMFT Event will be available less than ten (10) days prior to this SWRC-CAMFT Event.

While SWRC-CAMFT strives to to assure fair treatment for all participants, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the workshop staff which will require action on the part of the SWRC-Board. Please put all grievances in writing about a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, the style of presentation, workshop offering, its’content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered.  SWRC-CAMFT will keep all grievances in confidentiality and work to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.
