Advances in the Treatment of Depression


Dr. Sheth will present the latest information on depression treatment including pharmacology, genetic testing, neuromodulation, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). A comprehensive and holistic view of patient care will be discussed with science and fact based data to share. Participants will walk away with an understanding of the advances in neuropsychiatry as related to the treatment of depression and how it can benefit mental health clinician's work with their clients when facing treatment resistant depression.

Dr Manish Sheth is Licensed and Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Achieve TMS Centers, which has over 20 locations including Temecula. He trained at the Berenson-Allen Center for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School for TMS, and is a member of the Clinical TMS society. He has worked in university and other community settings, gaining varied experience in working with clients with various conditions such as Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, OCD, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, ADHD, and others.

Dr. Sheth applies his extensive background and knowledge as former Clinical Director of Genomics into incorporating genetic technology into the treatment of clients. Genetic testing helps create a treatment regimen which is individualized and best suited for each client thus limiting side effects and resulting in improved positive effects of medications when used appropriately. He also uses neuromodulation, including magnetic stimulation of specific brain areas and neuropharmocology to provide cutting edge care to each of his patients. His experience in combining therapy and medication for treatment of psychiatric disorders allows him to focus on the wellness of his patients and ensure that they achieve their maximum potential at social, educational, and professional levels.
