Pamela Rosin, MFT is the founder of ReParentive® Therapy as well as a certified Hakomi Therapist.  Leveraging somatic interventions while addressing attachment wounds, ReParentive® Therapy is an intergenerational healing model for clients who grew up in invalidating environments. This includes people with a parent who was not consistently available for multiple possible reasons, and especially because of a cluster B personality disorder such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). This interactive and experiential introductory-level workshop will allow participants to:

  • Understand the developmental woundings and negative core beliefs that often result from an invalidating history
  • Learn 10 core developmental wounds that are unique to this population
  • Understand the history, theory, and effectiveness of ReParentive® Therapy
  • Learn the 10 ReParentive® Principles
  • Apply somatic and mindfulness principles for the therapist’s personal nervous system regulation as well as to promote co-regulation in clients
  • Explain the benefit of exploring countertransference
  • Identify the interplay of themes of belonging/marginalization with identity in people with this history who are also marginalized culturally

Pamela Rosin, MFT is both a graduate and adjuct faculity member of the Integral Counseling Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Pamela’s therapeutic orientation has been influenced by the Eastern/Western blend provided at CIIS, traditional Freudian, psychodynamic, and transpersonal approaches.  She utilizes experientially based modalities and a synergy of Buddhist and somatic psychologies to cultivate healing. She integrates her professional acting background, a decade as a bodyworker, and years of teaching Shakespeare in prison.
